About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a violin teacher to teach and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents, setting goals, providing progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $15.92 per hour for non-teaching work and $11–$22 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Musicians may use gig leave to take time off to perform and return to their job afterward.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially with violin.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
