About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking an educator with expertise in trumpet to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. They communicate regularly with students and parents about goals and progress, and partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. The pay rate is $15.92 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $11–$22 per hour depending on background and experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially with trumpet.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
