About The Position
DanceBUG is hiring videographers for our February–June dance competition season. This role involves traveling the U.S. to film live events. We provide the equipment and training, and there is no editing or post-production required. The typical schedule is Thursday or Friday through Sunday or Monday, with events across the U.S. No dance experience is required. Training includes virtual instruction in January and at least two live events with experienced team members.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Within about an hour of a major airport
- Available for weekend travel
- Comfortable with long days and occasional 5–6-hour drives
- Able to lift about 50 pounds
- Able to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cameras or live production—sports, weddings, concerts, theatre, broadcasting, livestreaming, OBS or multi-camera work
- Comfortable with technology and fast-paced events
Responsibilities
- Travel to competitions
- Operate cameras and livestream systems
- Monitor video feeds
- Upload event media alongside the DanceBUG team
