About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Video Teleconferencing Technician to join its team in Doral, Florida. The role provides Tier I and Tier II customer support for video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, responds to system outages, and supports VTC installations, upgrades, and conference scheduling. The position is onsite and requires a current, active Secret clearance, with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

• High school diploma and five years of experience providing Tier I and Tier II customer support for VTC systems or in a related role; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field is equivalent to three years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental understanding of IP networks and how they are implemented in support of VTC systems.
• Must have a current, active Secret clearance.
• Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Frequently communicates with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at a Department of Defense Combatant Command or a component is desired. Examples listed include SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, and SPACECOM.

Responsibilities

• Perform Tier I and Tier II customer support for VTC systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Respond to system outages and take appropriate action to alternate-route services and/or use available failover and backup capabilities to meet VTC client needs.
• Conduct remote and onsite site surveys to determine requirements for new VTC system installations and upgrades.
• Conduct onsite VTC installations, including assisting with end network device configurations, equipment installations, equipment configuration, and checkout.
• Schedule conferences using Cisco’s TelePresence Management Suite (TMS).
