About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing the Kaw Nation Developing Future Victim Advocates Program. The role involves hiring and managing interns, developing program policies and procedures, conducting training, and providing direct advocacy and support services to victims of various forms of violence.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in social sciences or related field preferred, or a combination of education and work experience.
  • At least two years of related field work experience if education is combined with experience.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and manage interns, including creating criteria, hiring, developing project plans and educational plans, data analysis, and managing working hours and stipend pay.
  • Implement all aspects of the proposed project.
  • Assist with the development of program policy and procedures.
  • Develop and conduct in-service training and public presentations.
  • Work closely with the KNFTHC Director in case management of clients.
  • Provide advocacy and supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.
  • Attend training and workshops.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.
