Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in management of remediation projects, compliance, risk management, or audit, particularly with financial services, insurance, or highly regulated environments
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Regulation HH, CPMI-IOSCO, PFMI) and experience with regulatory change management
  • Proven capability to lead complex remediation projects, managing budgets, resources, and timelines
  • Experience with risk assessments, data lineage, control testing, and evidence mapping
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear, concise, ‘board and regulator-ready’ documents
  • Strong ability to hold action owners accountable and influence senior leadership in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage ambiguity and analyze large, complex data sets

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, risk, project management certifications) are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director in proactive support and facilitating closure of high-profile regulatory or audit findings across any relevant business line, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Fosters cross-functional collaboration whilst remediation teams develop, document deliverables and progress against deliverables, and execute remediation plans to close out issues and address root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Supports relevant business units as they define the remediation plans, and governance required to address relevant issue(s) and root cause(s); including possible participation at relevant Forums.
  • Supports the Director with remediation teams to drive root cause analysis (RCA) to ensure corrective actions address underlying issues.
  • Liaises with stakeholders and, in relation to regulatory issues, liaises closely with Regulatory Relations, for example supporting proactive engagement and mobilization of remediation programs where required, aligning input into and providing feedback where relevant and in particular on response letter(s) and engagement with regulators in accordance with Regulatory Relations policies.
  • Drafts ‘Board and regulator-ready’ reporting, including tracking Corrective Action Plans, KPIs and milestones, and provides updates on risk status to the director for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Supports alignment of Corrective Action Plans to facilitate consistent tracking and reporting into Steering Committees, ROC and Board level committees.
  • Maintains the procedure; coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders in the end-to-end remediation process to monitor adherence to the procedure.
  • Assists the collection of documentation to support response letter(s).
  • Coordinates scheduling, prepares comprehensive meeting packs, records accurate minutes, tracks action items, and ensures all meetings align to corporate compliance and governance standards for the Remediation Oversight Committee (ROC).
