As a Vice President, Investment Banking Recruiting at Prospect Rock Partners, you will partner with senior leadership to source lateral candidates across all levels of investment banking, from Analysts to Managing Directors. This role emphasizes candidate sourcing and pipeline development we need someone who excels at finding and engaging passive candidates, not a business development professional. You will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process and delivering exceptional talent.

Requirements

  • Strong preference for candidates with prior experience as an investment banking analyst, associate, or in another client-facing role within financial services - firsthand industry experience is highly valued.
  • We welcome professionals who may have transitioned out of investment banking and are seeking to re-engage with the industry in a more flexible capacity.
  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience with a demonstrated focus on sourcing and lateral recruitment within investment banking, financial services, or professional services OR deep personal network of investment banking professionals
  • Proven track record as an exceptional sourcer with the ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates who are not actively seeking new opportunities
  • Demonstrated success closing difficult searches and competing for top talent in a competitive market environment
  • Deep understanding of investment banking roles, career trajectories, and the technical and interpersonal skills required for success in M&A, capital markets, and advisory functions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with candidates, hiring managers, and senior executives
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and identify high-caliber lateral candidates through multiple channels including LinkedIn, industry networking events, professional associations, employee referrals, and direct outreach to passive candidates at competing firms
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified investment banking professionals through creative sourcing strategies, market mapping, and persistent relationship development with passive candidates
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle including initial screening, interview coordination, candidate assessment, offer negotiation, and close, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience at every touchpoint
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' technical capabilities, deal experience, cultural fit, and alignment with Prospect Rock Partners' values and business objectives
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new hires into the organization
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to continuously improve sourcing effectiveness, reduce time-to-fill, and enhance quality of hire
