Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP seeks a Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration Manager to support the firm’s strategic growth through lateral partner hiring. Reporting to the Chief of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration, this role works closely with firm partners and across departments to develop and execute Weil’s lateral recruitment and integration strategy across multiple offices and practice areas.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in lateral partner recruiting, strategic business development, practice management and/or competitive intelligence, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of the legal industry, including law firm practice areas and market dynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, including firm leadership
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate lateral talent opportunities across practice areas and geographies
  • Perform initial analysis on partner candidates to assess strategic fit and client synergies
  • Develop candidate briefing materials
  • Draft partner communications and other supporting materials
  • Liaise with partner candidates, search firms, and internal stakeholders to manage active recruitments
  • Stay current on market trends and competitive intelligence
  • Maintain pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Support special projects related to lateral growth initiatives
  • Develop and maintain recruiting-focused collateral in collaboration with the Business Development team
  • Develop and execute structured integration programs for lateral partner hires in collaboration with partners and relevant firm departments, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic priorities and culture
  • Contribute to smooth partner onboarding across administrative, operational, and practice-related workstreams
  • Provide ongoing support to lateral hires to facilitate relationship-building and long-term success at the firm
  • Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
