The Vice President of Operations provides strategic and tactical leadership for all operational functions across the organization. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, inventory management, and financial performance while supporting the company's long-term growth strategy. The VP of Operations partners with executive leadership to establish business objectives and ensures operational capabilities are aligned to meet customer expectations, business goals, and profitability targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing and/or distribution operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience directing multiple operational functions.
• This role requires regular travel between locations to ensure consistent operations practices, employee support, and leadership partnership.
• Proven experience leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing budgets, capital expenditures, and organizational growth.
• Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
• Demonstrated success driving operational performance and business results.
• Excellent leadership, team-building, and talent development skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business situations and make sound decisions.
• Financial acumen and understanding of operational metrics.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and execution of corporate strategy, objectives, and annual operating plans.
• Establish operational goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance expectations across all operations functions.
• Develop and execute long-term operational strategies that support growth, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and contribute to overall business planning and decision-making.
• Direct and oversee all manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, supply chain, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across all facilities.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve throughput, and increase operational effectiveness.
• Monitor operational performance and take corrective action as needed to achieve business objectives.
• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure operational processes consistently meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, and Product Management to support customer needs and business growth.
• Lead efforts to improve on-time delivery, product quality, and overall customer experience.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital expenditures, and operational spending.
• Drive productivity and cost management initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
• Monitor operational performance against financial targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate capital investments and operational initiatives based on financial return and strategic value.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing operations leadership team.
• Provide coaching, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development for direct reports.
• Promote employee engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure workforce planning aligns with organizational objectives and future business needs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Champion a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.
• Maintain compliance with quality systems, operational procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Communicate operational performance and initiatives to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with all functional areas to ensure alignment and achievement of company objectives.
• Represent Operations in customer meetings, strategic planning sessions, supplier discussions, and industry events as needed.
