About The Position

The Vice President of Human Resources serves as a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the human resources function across the organization. This executive will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and business leaders, driving a high-performance culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The VP of HR will build scalable HR infrastructure to support continued organizational growth while ensuring compliance, employee engagement, and alignment with company values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling HR functions within a growth-oriented organization.
  • Experience managing HR across multiple states and geographic locations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, compensation design, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems; experience with platforms such as ADP, Paylocity, or similar.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment in handling sensitive matters.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA or MS in HR/Organizational Development) strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in real estate, property management, construction, or a related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and change management.
  • Lead the HR function to operate as a proactive, service-oriented business partner to all departments.
  • Establish and monitor key HR metrics and reporting to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture consistent with Denton Floyd's core values.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for employees, resolving workplace concerns with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive performance management system that drives accountability and growth.
  • Identify training and development needs across the organization and create or source appropriate learning programs.
  • Coach and support managers in effective leadership, team development, and performance coaching.
  • Oversee succession planning to ensure leadership continuity and organizational resilience.
  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee payroll processes and HRIS platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and separations with appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, job descriptions, and HR policies on a regular basis.
