About The Position

Libertas Funding is seeking a Vice President, Head of Product Management to lead product strategy and execution. This executive role is responsible for translating business needs across various operations (underwriting, credit policy, servicing, collections, accounting) into a prioritized roadmap, defining product development priorities, and ensuring engineering investments align with high-value outcomes. The position collaborates closely with engineering, PMO, underwriters, processors, collections, and the executive team.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in product management with senior leadership experience.
  • Experience in specialty or commercial lending, fintech, financial services, or B2B SaaS is ideal.
  • Proven track record of owning product strategy and roadmap with demonstrable business outcomes.
  • Experience navigating a legacy-to-modern platform transition, balancing technical debt, gap closure, and new capabilities.
  • Strong partnership skills with engineering.
  • Deep customer empathy and ability to translate complex business needs into clear product direction.
  • Comfort operating at the executive level, influencing leadership, and representing product in strategic decisions.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years in product management, including senior product leadership in a fintech, financial-services, or B2B SaaS environment.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with regulated financial-services dynamics, including commercial lending, credit risk workflows, and control environments like SOC 1/SOC 2.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product vision and strategy across the Libertas portfolio, informed by market, customer, and competitive insights, including a strategy for platform modernization.
  • Manage the product roadmap and prioritization, balancing user value, business impact, feasibility, and the pace of legacy-to-modern platform enhancements.
  • Define requirements and business cases for product investments in close partnership with engineering and business stakeholders, translating complex logic into precise specifications.
  • Conduct discovery and validation through research, problem definition, and direct engagement with users of the platform (underwriters, processors, collections).
  • Define success metrics, hold the portfolio accountable for product outcomes, and manage release sequencing and go-to-market timing.
  • Build and lead the product management function as Libertas scales.
