About The Position

Nexstar Media, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President & General Manager to lead WWLP (NBC/CW) in Springfield, Massachusetts, including all associated digital, mobile, and social assets. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading broadcast operational teams within sales-driven organizations, with a strong understanding of advanced digital ad solutions and new business development. This role requires a background in developing locally originated content for multiple platforms (OTT, linear, web, social), driving audience engagement, and increasing overall reach. Promoting a winning culture of teamwork across all station departments and demonstrating prior success in operational efficiencies, programming performance growth, and new local revenue generation is essential. The station serves Western Massachusetts and parts of northern Connecticut, providing local news, weather, and community-focused content. WWLP is recognized for its strong local reporting, earning multiple regional Emmy Awards and Associated Press recognition. The station is also deeply committed to community engagement through partnerships, charitable initiatives, and outreach efforts. Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience at a commercial broadcast television station with accompanying digital assets.
