About The Position

Nexstar Media, Inc., America’s largest local broadcasting company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President & General Manager to lead WWLP (NBC/CW) in Springfield, Massachusetts (DMA #115), as well as all digital, mobile, and social assets associated with the station. The ideal candidate will utilize their proven skillsets and extensive experience in leading broadcast operational teams with sales-driven organizations, including a strong understanding of advanced digital ad solutions, and new business development. Additionally, this candidate will possess a strong background in developing locally originated content for multiple platforms (OTT, linear, web, social), driving audience engagement, and increasing our overall reach. Promoting a winning culture of teamwork within all station departments and prior success in maintaining a focus on operational efficiencies and growth in programming performance and new local revenue generation is required. The station serves Western Massachusetts and parts of northern Connecticut, delivering trusted local news, weather, and community-focused content to viewers across the Pioneer Valley. Known for its strong local reporting, the station has earned multiple regional Emmy Awards and recognition from the Associated Press for excellence in journalism. Requirements

Minimum of five years of leadership experience at a commercial broadcast television station with accompanying digital assets.
Seasoned and knowledgeable professional.
