About The Position

Nexstar Media Inc. is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Vice President/General Manager to oversee its media properties in the Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia market (DMA #82) and Bluefield-Beckley, West Virginia market (DMA #168). The Vice President/General Manager will have full oversight of Nexstar’s operations of WOWK (CBS) as well as wowktv.com in Charleston, and WVNS (CBS/Fox) as well as wvnstv.com in Bluefield, and all related digital, mobile, streaming, and social media assets in both markets. The ideal candidate will be a digital-first leader with a proven record of driving revenue through advanced digital advertising solutions, new business development, and innovative sales strategies. The successful candidate will have led either a commercial television station with a strong digital advertising operation or a high-performing digital sales organization. Experience developing and scaling locally produced content across OTT, web, social, and linear platforms to expand audience reach and accelerate revenue growth is essential. Success in this role requires strategic vision, disciplined execution, and the ability to build a highly collaborative, growth-oriented culture. The successful candidate will promote teamwork, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while developing strong relationships with employees, community leaders, and key clients. Experience managing a duopoly operation is preferred.

Requirements

• At least five years of senior management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing digital sales, broadcast sales, content, and news teams.
• Digital-first leadership.
• Proven record of driving revenue through advanced digital advertising solutions, new business development, and innovative sales strategies.
• Experience leading either a commercial television station with a strong digital advertising operation or a high-performing digital sales organization.
• Experience developing and scaling locally produced content across OTT, web, social, and linear platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing a duopoly operation is preferred.
