About The Position

The Vice President and General Manager serves as the property’s executive leader with oversight of all resort and marina operations, including guest satisfaction, associate engagement, revenue optimization, and overall financial performance. The position drives operational excellence, executes strategic initiatives, and delivers results that meet or exceed the expectations of ownership, Marriott, guests, and associates while maximizing profitability and return on investment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 5 years’ professional experience in related professional area.
  • Previous General Manager experience in resort or full-service property.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend, push, pull and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the resort in alignment with Peregrine Hospitality’s Service Culture, and the 4 Key’s to Creating Guests for Life.
  • Build develop and retain high-performing leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and exceptional service.
  • Drive financial success through strategic planning and execution, revenue optimization, expense management, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance, develop annual business plans, budgets and forecasts, and implement initiatives that maximize profitability and long-term asset value.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to drive revenue growth, market share, and cultivate strategic relationships with ownership, community partners, and industry organizations to strengthen the resort’s positioning.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that leverage innovation, technology, sustainability, and industry best practices to improve operational performance and maintain the resort’s competitive position.
  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, and Peregrine Hospitality’s Development team to develop and execute capital improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable laws while maintaining a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates through effective risk management and operational oversight.
  • Foster positive associate and labor relations by promoting open communication, employee engagement, and a culture of respect and accountability.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with labor agreements, employment laws, and company policies while supporting effective conflict resolution, maintaining productive union relationships, and creating an inclusive workplace that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
