Veterinary Technician or Assistant - Avian/Exotics at Angell West - Temporary Position
About The Position
This is a temporary, full-time position, 10am-8:30pm, 40hrs a week rotating weekends and holidays. This a temporary position with the potential to transition into a regular full-time role. We are looking for an experienced Assistant or a Certified Vet Technician to join our Waltham team. This position provides technical support to our Avian/Exotics Veterinarian by assisting with case management and technical procedures of A/E patients, as well as communications with clients and referring veterinarians. We are looking for applicants with Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration and critical care. This position provides a unique opportunity to practice in an intimate client-focused setting, but with numerous amenities from the larger MSPCA-Angell Boston hospital as support. Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Vet Technician.
- Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration and critical care.
