About The Position
This is a full-time position at Angell West, located in Waltham, MA. The role involves providing technical support to an Avian/Exotics Veterinarian, assisting with case management and technical procedures for Avian/Exotic patients. Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Vet Technician.
- Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration and critical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Avian/Exotics Veterinarian.
- Assist with case management and technical procedures of Avian/Exotic patients.
- Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians.
- Perform venipuncture.
- Perform IV catheter placement.
- Assist with anesthesia.
- Perform gavage feeding.
- Administer medication.
- Provide critical care.
