Requirements

1+ year experience in a veterinary hospital, animal clinic, shelter, or animal care facility
Venipuncture and catheter placement
Patient restraint and surgical prep
Basic knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate toward animals and clients

Nice To Haves

Experience assisting with surgery, anesthesia monitoring, or diagnostics is a plus
LVT, RVT, or CVT preferred but not required
Experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with patient assessments and stabilization when needed
Perform radiographs, collect lab samples, and assist with in-house testing
Prepare patients for procedures, assist with anesthesia monitoring, and support recovery
Safely administer IV, IM, SQ, and oral medications
Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress
Provide clear and compassionate updates to pet owners
Maintain accurate records using veterinary EMR systems
Work closely with veterinarians and hospital staff to deliver high-quality care
