About The Position
As a Veterinary Sales Representative, you will be the face of Elanco in the Asheville, North Carolina territory, a region with significant opportunity for growth. You will own the strategy to build deep, authentic relationships with veterinary customers, getting past the gatekeepers to connect with everyone from the front desk to the lead veterinarian. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with an equivalent level of experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales, or equivalent experience in a fast-paced B2B selling environment.
- A team-first mindset with a natural ability to build relationships and a dedication to succeed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States without sponsorship.

- Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability, especially within ambiguous or uncertain situations.
- Excellent planning and execution skills with a track record of successfully managing a sales territory.
- In-depth knowledge of the companion animal market, including Elanco and competitive products.
- Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA).
Responsibilities
- Guide sales to meet/exceed goals by developing and executing a territory business plan, focusing on product placement and key account growth (both corporate and private).
- Establish and grow relationships with the entire veterinary hospital team—from veterinarians and practice managers to receptionists and kennel staff—by making daily calls, understanding their needs, and becoming a trusted advisor.
- Expertly launch new products, educate customers on the Elanco portfolio vs. competitors, and leverage data analytics to identify and capitalize on territory opportunities.
- Provide guidance and direction to distributor representatives and act as a key liaison with local veterinary medical associations to align efforts and represent Elanco at key meetings.
