About The Position

Bartels Pet Hospital is hiring a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients and patients at its established, three-doctor practice. The receptionist will provide a warm welcome, support client care, and help keep front-desk operations and the daily schedule running smoothly. The hospital describes its team culture as compassionate, supportive, and collaborative, with mentoring available to both newcomers to veterinary medicine and experienced staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, with 6-hour and 10-hour shifts available. Compensation is negotiable and based on experience. Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients and manage check-in and check-out.
Answer phones and schedule appointments efficiently and accurately.
Prepare invoices accurately and process client payments.
Communicate with clients professionally and warmly, in person and by phone.
Update client and patient records and relay messages to the medical team.
Handle prescription and food refill requests.
Coordinate with doctors and technicians to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Support clients compassionately during emotional situations, including end-of-life visits.
