About The Position

Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and professional full-time Receptionist to join our established, five-doctor veterinary team. This is a key front-desk position in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where high standards of service and efficiency are expected. As the first point of contact for clients and patients, the Receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining the professional reputation and smooth operation of the hospital. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.

Requirements

Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role (veterinary or medical field preferred)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong work ethic
Basic proficiency with computers and scheduling software

Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients in a professional, welcoming manner
Answer high-volume phone lines and respond to client inquiries
Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently
Process payments, manage check-ins, and check-outs
Maintain accurate and organized client records
Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to ensure timely patient care
Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional front desk and lobby area
