About The Position
We are currently hiring for a Veterinary Reception, Client Care position at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre to join our dedicated team at our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. This role is for a highly organized, client-focused individual with a passion for animals and exceptional service.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a receptionist or front desk in human or veterinary medicine.
- A professional and calm demeanour when assisting clients with questions, requests, or sensitive information
- Experienced with booking medical appointments and locating schedules within the system for: rebooking patients, booking new appointments and urgent appointments
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records; training is provided for our in-house system
- Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe)
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy when recording and relaying information
Nice To Haves
- Previous knowledge of Moneris POS terminals is an asset
Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and patients in a warm, professional manner
- Managing check-ins, check-outs, and appointment scheduling in our in-house scheduling system; training provided
- Handling incoming calls through our multiline system
- Prioritizing emails and client inquiries efficiently
- Coordinating communication between medical teams, specialty services and the referring community
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth administrative flow for standard operating procedures
- Supporting the team in delivering exceptional emergency and specialty care to our clients and patients
