About The Position

Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a forward-thinking, business-savvy Veterinary Hospital Administrator to lead their established 6-doctor practice through an exciting period of growth and transformation. This role involves more than day-to-day management; it requires an experienced leader who understands financial health, develops strong leaders, improves operational efficiency, and turns long-term goals into actionable strategies. The hospital is entering a new chapter with a recently completed boarding facility and a planned renovation in 2027, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required
  • Veterinary hospital management experience required
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day hospital operations
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable adapting to new technology and business systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and/or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) strongly preferred
  • Experience managing through or planning a facility renovation

Responsibilities

  • Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
