We’re looking for a Veterinary Customer Service Representative who is eager to grow, loves client education, and is passionate about delivering high-quality, personalized client care. Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of veterinary receptionist experience preferred
  • Coverage of some Saturday shifts are required for this position
  • Compassionate, calm team player with a positive attitude
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent computer proficiency
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your role
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and resilience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or emotional circumstances
  • Comfortable working in a veterinary environment—must not be squeamish
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Some previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience utilizing Avimark is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • Greet and welcome clients and patients
  • Answer questions and triage client concerns
  • Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • Check in and check out clients and process payments
  • Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
  • Must be comfortable with various medical outcomes
  • Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
