About The Position

IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Customer Service Representative for its emergency and specialty veterinary setting in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role supports hospital staff and helps uphold a high standard of patient care while fostering teamwork. The ideal candidate has customer service experience in a healthcare setting; veterinary medicine experience is highly preferred. The candidate should communicate professionally and courteously, including in conflict situations, and use creative problem-solving. This is a full-time position with rotating 10- or 12-hour shifts beginning at 4 PM. Some weekends and holidays are required, as is participation in an on-call rotation. Hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM qualify for a shift differential of $2 per hour on weekdays and $3 per hour on weekends. Compensation is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
Established communication skills and the ability to handle conflict professionally and courteously.
Availability for rotating 10- or 12-hour shifts beginning at 4 PM.
Availability for some weekends and holidays.
Participation in an on-call rotation.
