About The Position

Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services is hiring Client Service Representatives to support our busy ER and Specialty Practice. The Client Service Representative is one of the most important positions in our emergency/specialty practice as you are on the front lines, there to greet each client who walks in the door, setting the stage for a positive client experience. Our CSRs are ambassadors of GSiVS and will be responsible for checking clients in and out of the hospital, booking appointments, taking payments, and fielding busy phone lines. This position requires experience in a fast-paced customer facing role, and while veterinary experience is preferred, we would happily train and invest in the right candidate. We are a multispecialty practice with boarded specialists in cardiology and surgery. We are not your typical veterinary hospital! Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced customer facing role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to answer multiple phone lines
  • Data entry and attention to detail
  • Comfort with taking deposits and discussing financial questions with clients
  • Empathy and compassion for our clients
  • Ability to be discreet and professional when appropriate
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary experience is preferred
  • Additional fluency in other languages is preferred
