Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and professional attitude
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn veterinary practice management software

Nice To Haves

  • Previous veterinary reception, veterinary customer service, medical reception, or customer service experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, quality customer care to patients and clients
  • Process invoices payments
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and obtain all necessary medical history
  • Determine the status of the patient’s immunizations and tests
  • Communicate with the doctor and technical staff on the patient’s arrival and necessary treatments
  • Fill prescriptions, food requests, and over-the-counter products as instructed by a veterinarian
  • Accurately input data into computer software
