About The Position

Wilkinson Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to animal patient care, including restraint, triage, sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, medication administration, client communication, surgical assistance, and anesthetic management. The position requires the ability to work with animals in potentially challenging conditions and may involve exposure to animal waste, diseases, and potential injuries. The clinic offers opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
• Prior general animal care experience is required
• Must be able to properly restrain pets
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

• Large animal experience is a plus
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
