About The Position
Seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support General Practice and Urgent Care services at VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center, a 24-hour AAHA-accredited hybrid GP/ER hospital in Sacramento. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, value teamwork, and desire exposure to a wide range of cases, from routine preventive care to urgent medical concerns. Veterinary Assistants are integral to patient care, working closely with DVMs and the veterinary care team across both GP and Urgent Care workflows. Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience is required
- High-volume GP, urgent care, ER, or inpatient experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable supporting both routine and urgent care workflows
- Ability to work well independently while valuing teamwork and communication
- Adaptable, motivated, and eager to continue expanding skillset
