About The Position

Lombard Veterinary Hospital is an independently owned, AAHA-accredited companion and exotic animal hospital serving DuPage County since 1959. The 12-doctor team works in a new, 18,000-square-foot facility with advanced surgery, urgent care for companion and exotic animals, and a Rehabilitation Department.

The Associate Veterinarian will provide veterinary care in a supportive setting with a dedicated doctor's assistant and leadership support. The role offers structured mentorship for new graduates and continued learning for experienced veterinarians, as well as clinical autonomy to make medical decisions in the best interests of clients and patients. Full-time and part-time schedules are available and set well in advance. There is no on-call emergency duty.

Requirements

• DVM degree.
• Illinois veterinary license, or license in process.
• DEA registration.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to client relationships.
• Team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for learning.

Nice To Haves

• High-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) experience.
• Shelter surgery experience.
• New graduates are welcome; structured mentorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care for companion and exotic animals.
