About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lafayette, CO is hiring for their Oncology Department. This role is ideal for individuals who love helping animals and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Oncology service handles a variety of cases, from routine to complex medical oncology. The position is full-time with potentially varying hours. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will provide nursing care to patients, report on patient status during nursing rounds, understand medication classifications and side effects, administer medications, perform physical exams, and have a working knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring equipment. Requirements

  • Skill level should include obtaining lab samples, administering SQ, and IM, patient handling, client communication, and maintaining equipment / instruments.

  • Remain current on R.E.C.O.V.E.R CPR guidelines and demonstrates proficiency in designated role as assigned by attending clinician and/or supervisor.

  • Cornerstone software familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
