Oncology Veterinary Technician
About The Position
MedVet is seeking a collaborative and driven Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician to support its clinical team and provide compassionate care to patients and clients. The role involves administering chemotherapy and developing strong patient and client relationships. Technicians will use venipuncture skills, attention to detail, and oncology treatment knowledge to support patient care. The proposed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position requires flexibility to work additional hours when necessary and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Employment is contingent on passing a drug screen and background check. MedVet is an equal opportunity and drug-free employer.
Requirements
- Prior veterinary experience is required.
- Proficiency in calculations, including drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions.
- Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred.
- Previous oncology experience desired.
Responsibilities
