About The Position
AcutePet Urgent Care is opening a new location in West Cleveland (Avon) and is seeking founding veterinarians to help establish the clinical tone and culture of the hospital. This is an opportunity to have a voice in hospital operations, workflows, and team culture, while practicing high-quality medicine without the burnout of overnight emergency shifts. The Avon location aims to provide affordable, accessible urgent care services, supporting primary care veterinarians in the community. The role involves treating cases such as lacerations, minor trauma, GI obstruction workups, toxin ingestions, and acute vomiting/diarrhea, with urgent diagnostics and stabilization, but without overnights or major holidays.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent)
- Interest in urgent care or emergency-style diagnostics
- Strong clinical reasoning and thoughtful patient care
- Clear, compassionate client communication

Responsibilities
- Help establish the clinical tone and culture of the hospital.
- Practice high-level medicine in an urgent care setting.
- See cases including lacerations, minor trauma, GI obstruction workups, toxin ingestions, and acute vomiting/diarrhea.
- Perform urgent diagnostics and stabilization.
- Collaborate with a team in a non-hierarchical environment.
- Participate in structured growth and mentorship.
