About The Position

Nevada Veterinary Clinic, founded in 1984, is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join their team. The well-equipped facility offers a diverse caseload, allowing the veterinarian to provide quality care to a variety of animals, including small animals, large animals, and equines. The clinic features three exam rooms, a surgical suite, two groomers, a large boarding area, haul-in facilities with a hydraulic chute and equine stocks, large animal ultrasound capabilities, a new small animal ultrasound, digital radiography, and therapeutic laser treatments. A farm truck is available for on-site visits. The role offers a balanced schedule with one day off during the week, rotating half-day Saturdays, and emergency call every other week shared among the team.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine.
Ability to handle a diverse caseload including small animals, large animals, and equines.
Willingness to participate in emergency call rotation.
Ability to work a balanced schedule with one day off during the week and rotating half-day Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

Experience with haul-in facilities, hydraulic chutes, and equine stocks.
Proficiency in large and small animal ultrasound.
Experience with digital radiography and therapeutic laser treatments.
Familiarity with farm truck operations for on-site visits.
Experience working with rescue organizations and animal shelters.

Responsibilities

Provide quality care to a variety of animals, including small animals, large animals, and equines.
Perform duties in exam rooms, surgical suite, and on-site visits.
Utilize clinic equipment such as ultrasound, digital radiography, and therapeutic laser.
Participate in emergency call rotation.
Work with rescue organizations, Mizzou, local emergency hospitals, and the Nevada Animal Shelter.
