About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a full-time Internist Veterinarian for their Tacoma, WA location. This role involves delivering outstanding veterinary care with a compassionate heart in a cutting-edge facility equipped to handle emergency cases. The hospital specializes in emergency medicine, dentistry, neurology, oncology, radiology & diagnostic imaging, and surgery. The facility is equipped with an on-site MRI and CT scanner, arthroscopy, ultrasound, and a fully equipped intensive care unit. The position offers surgical mentorship and the opportunity for ER Clinicians to manage primary surgical cases.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
Completion of a post-graduate internship or residency program in Internal Medicine.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington State.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT).
Experience with minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding veterinary care with a compassionate heart.
Handle emergency cases.
Provide specialized care in emergency medicine, dentistry, neurology, oncology, radiology & diagnostic imaging, and surgery.
Utilize advanced equipment including MRI, CT scanner, arthroscopy, and ultrasound.
Participate in surgical mentorship.
Manage primary surgical case management for common ER surgeries such as enterotomies, splenectomies, C-sections, GDV, pyometra, and more.
