About The Position

WIL is seeking a Veterans Employment Program Manager to lead a program that helps veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness find and keep jobs. This is a contingent proposal opportunity in WIL's expert collaborator network, not a funded vacancy. It supports a competitive grant application WIL is preparing; no award has been made, and there is no guaranteed work or funding. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. WIL will ask before naming the candidate or including their resume in any proposal. The collaborator will lead program design and delivery planning, build partnerships, coordinate services, and track employment outcomes. The role is remote in the US.

Requirements

  • Experience leading veteran employment, reintegration, or homeless-services programs.
  • Case management and job-development experience.
  • Knowledge of veteran-serving systems and benefits.
  • Outcome tracking and reporting experience.
  • Comfortable as a project-based contract collaborator.

Nice To Haves

  • Veteran or military-family background.
  • Prior federal veterans employment grant experience.
  • Experience with veteran housing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program design for outreach, intake, case management, and job placement.
  • Build partnerships with veteran service organizations, housing providers, workforce boards, and employers.
  • Plan job training, credential, and supportive-service offerings.
  • Coordinate with veteran health care and housing resources.
  • Track enrollment, placement, and job-retention outcomes.
  • Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL proposals when authorized to be named.
