About The Position

As a Vehicle Service Specialist at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, you’ll work with a friendly, collaborative team to provide customer service and perform preventive maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. No previous automotive experience is required. The company provides hands-on training through its training program. The position is located at 600 Hebron Rd, Newark, OH 43056. Compensation is $16.50 per hour, with weekly pay. The job offers a path to potentially become a Service Center Manager within 18–24 months.

Requirements

Schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.
Eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team.
Ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventive maintenance services, including changing oil; checking and refilling fluids; rotating tires; testing and replacing batteries; inspecting and replacing lights and wipers; and performing an 18-point safety check.
Participate in hands-on training and follow safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
