About The Position

As a Vehicle Service Specialist at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, you help keep guests safe on the road by delivering customer service and performing preventative maintenance on their vehicles. No previous automotive experience is required. The company provides hands-on training through an award-winning program, including training in oil changes, fluid checks and refills, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspection and replacement, 18-point safety checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role requires a friendly, customer-focused approach, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and schedule flexibility. Employees receive hands-on training and support, with the potential to advance to Service Center Manager within 18–24 months. The position is located at 893 Refugee Rd, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.

Requirements

Schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.
Eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team.
Ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventative maintenance services on vehicles.
Change oil.
Check and refill fluids.
