About The Position

America's Auto Auction in Birmingham is hiring a full-time Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer. The role reviews vehicle inspection data and photographs and prepares detailed condition reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, and valuation. The position completes 20 to 30 reports per day and works Monday through Friday for 40 hours, with no nights or weekends. Compensation is $18.00 per hour plus a weekly bonus for completed reports; stated total annual compensation is $45,000–$70,000 based on performance.

Requirements

Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists.
Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Vehicle inspection or vehicle repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
