About The Position

As a Vehicle Condition Assessor (VCA), you will accurately assess and document vehicle conditions for appraisals, helping ensure quality, transparency, and efficiency in inventory management and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Managers, assist with lot merchandising, and support wholesale auction operations. The role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate vehicle assessments and document cosmetic and mechanical conditions for appraisal analysis.
• Ensure accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments and inventory updates.
• Create high-quality images of wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites and support wholesale auction preparation and operations.
• Complete vehicle secures and confirmations, verify appraisal details, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory management, customer transfers, and lot merchandising as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with onboarding new associates.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: up to 48 hours per year, accrued each pay period, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive associates.
• Paid vacation time: 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive associates.
• Paid holidays: 8 hours of pay for each of six scheduled holidays per year, plus one floating holiday, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive associates.
• Holiday Premium Pay when eligible associates work on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
