About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 computer system using a handheld device or headset. The specialist will affix identification stickers, flag specific vehicle types, direct transporters, report damage, take digital images, and provide sale identification codes. A strong commitment to safety and cooperation with safety leadership is expected. Additional duties may include assisting with driving vehicles during auction sales.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this role).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, Stock number, Dealer ID, Make, model, year, mileage, color, options) into the AS400 computer system.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles.
• Flag “no key” cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zones.
• Report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities.
• Assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
