About The Position

The Vault Cashier processes and balances deposits from all departments and prepares deposits for the bank. The role handles money and gaming-related transactions, verifies incoming and outgoing cash, records vault transactions, and replenishes cash and supplies for casino operations. It also performs Cashier and Main Bank duties when needed and provides professional, pleasant customer service. The position must comply with company policies, state and federal regulations, and internal controls. Employees may be asked to perform duties outside their normal job description when the company considers it necessary for efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of prior work experience.
• Ability to handle large sums of money and maintain accountability over a cashier drawer.
• Ability to perform duties confidentially.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-service orientation.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator; some computer knowledge is helpful.
• Ability to stand for long periods, including an eight- or ten-hour shift.
• Knowledge of casino functions.
• Ability to work amid high levels of noise and crowds.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.
• Physically mobile, with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas, including confined spaces.

• Previous money-handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits from all departments, balance them, and send them to the bank.
• Run and separate records of travelers checks, personal checks, and comp checks.
• Process Slot, Cage, Security, and Dealer tokes deposits, including company deposits of checks from the Accounting department.
• Verify Count Team drops from the BV drop, Table Games Drop, and Redemption Kiosk Drop.
• Verify currency and coin received from the bank.
• Perform Cage buys and replenish cash for Slot department wallets and Cage Cashiers.
• Verify money returned to the vault and ensure the count is correct.
• Record all transactions on the Vault Accountability Sheet.
• Fill Kiosk Cassettes and US Coin Bags for Redemption Kiosks.
• Perform Cashier and Main Bank duties when needed.
• Communicate with customers in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Accurately count money and exchange coins or gaming chips for customers.
• Comply with company policies, state and federal regulations, and internal controls relevant to the position.
