About The Position
Bellevue Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach to lead and develop its wrestling program at Bellevue Jr/Sr High School in Bellevue, Michigan. The coach will mentor student-athletes, oversee practices, develop game strategies, and foster sportsmanship and teamwork on and off the field. Compensation is based on Schedule B of the teachers contract. Requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Background check clearance.
- Experience with team-building and player development.
- Understanding of strength and conditioning programs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous high school coaching experience as a head or assistant coach.
- Strong knowledge of wrestling fundamentals, rules, and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices, workouts, and conditioning sessions.
- Develop game strategies and analyze team performance.
- Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- Promote a culture of discipline, hard work, and respect.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all athletes.
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and team logistics.
- Foster academic and personal development in players.
- Represent the team positively within the school and community.
