About The Position

Utica Community Schools is seeking a Varsity Head Wrestling Coach at Henry Ford II High School. The coach is responsible for operating the program in compliance with Board of Education, district, building, and MHSAA rules and policies. The position includes coordinating team activities, supporting student-athletes’ development, and participating in all aspects of program development. The district supports promotion of internal candidates.

Requirements

• Prior coaching experience is required.
• CPR, concussion certification, and AED training are required.
• Possess strong character and the ability to build relationships with team members and parents.
• Willingness and desire to participate in all aspects of program development.

Nice To Haves

• Prior varsity coaching experience preferred.
• A valid State of Michigan Teacher’s Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the athletic program in accordance with Board of Education, district, building, and MHSAA policies.
• Coordinate in-season and off-season team activities, including practices, player development, off-season workouts, and camps.
• Support the physical, emotional, and academic development of student-athletes.
• Participate in all aspects of program development.
