Van Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Van Driver presents a positive image to Halperns’ Steak and Seafood customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of Halperns’ products. The role operates Halperns’ equipment professionally and safely, demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits. Routes run from Kalamazoo to Chicago and other areas as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. and ending when finished. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards, and be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds. Candidates must pass a drug test, including assessment for marijuana use, and a background check. Candidates must be registered with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent. Applicants must provide their most recent employment experience; candidates working for a Halperns’ Steak & Seafood customer must provide a letter of support from their management if selected for an interview.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
- Pass a drug test assessing drug usage, including marijuana, and a background check.
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
- Register with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

- If currently working for a Halperns’ Steak & Seafood customer, provide a letter of support from management if selected for the interview process.
