About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Van Delivery Driver based at 525 N State St, York, PA 17403. The driver delivers food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other customers, builds customer relationships, and travels locally, returning home each day. The role includes unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and occasionally assisting other drivers during deliveries. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 a.m. until work is completed, with every other Friday involving deliveries from the Aberdeen, Maryland location. Pay is $20.00–$22.00. Gordon Food Service is a tobacco-free and drug-free workplace and requires pre-employment drug testing. Candidates who work for a Gordon Food Service customer must provide a letter of support from their management if selected for the interview process.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a commercial driver's license.
• Have one year of previous driving experience.
• Have one year of experience in customer service or a related field.
• Be able to travel to Aberdeen, Maryland every other Friday to assist with recoveries.
• Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits and updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
• Successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
• Have a clean driving record that meets DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
