Full Time Van Delivery Driver
About The Position
Gordon Food Service Store LLC is hiring a Van Delivery Driver for its League City, Texas location. The role is responsible for courteous, accurate, and on-time product deliveries to Wholesale customers on a variable daily route. Drivers operate the van professionally and safely, with attention to detail and safe work habits. The position also assists with store operations before or after completing the route. The work combines delivery duties with in-store customer service and merchandising. The driver picks and locates customer orders, builds customer relationships, and supports accurate processing of purchases, asset security, receiving, product rotation, merchandising, and store organization. Gordon Food Service describes its retail division as a fast-paced environment that supports work-life balance and development for future growth.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous delivery driving experience and 1 year in customer service or a related field are preferred.
- An unrestricted standard operator's license is required.
- Must have a clean driving record, with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
- Must be able to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Candidates who work for a Gordon Food Service customer must provide a letter of support from their management if selected for the interview process.

Responsibilities
- Accurately locate and pick in-store orders for Wholesale customers.
- Build and maintain good customer relationships and make accurate, timely deliveries of Gordon Food Service products.
- Operate the van in a professional and safe manner and demonstrate attention to detail and safe work habits.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Assist with store operations before or after completing the delivery route.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently through the point of sale.
- Protect cash, checks, and merchandise by following asset-security policies and procedures.
- Receive and merchandise products accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain proper product rotation and quality, execute end-cap and planogram layouts, and organize top stock, freezer, cooler, and backroom areas.
