About The Position

The Van Delivery Driver makes courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of products on a variable daily route. The role operates a van professionally and safely, with attention to detail and safe work habits. The driver also assists with store operations before or after completing the route.

Delivery work includes locating and picking orders in-store for wholesale customers, building and maintaining customer relationships, and delivering Gordon Food Service products accurately and on time. Drivers perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.

In-store duties include processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently at the point of sale; safeguarding cash, checks, and merchandise according to policies and procedures; and receiving and merchandising products. This includes proper product rotation and quality, end-cap and planogram execution, top stock, and organization of freezer, cooler, and backroom areas.

The position pays $20 per hour. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter. Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Unrestricted standard operator's license.
• Clean driving record, with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years.
• Successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
• Able to use a two-wheel cart carrying a load of up to 350 pounds.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field are preferred.
