About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a valet for its OHSU Marquam Hill operation in Portland, Oregon. The role involves providing safe, courteous valet service to patients and visitors, demonstrating empathy and a calm demeanor. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The hourly rate is $19.00, with tips possible in addition. Previous customer service experience is required; previous parking experience is desired. Manual-transmission driving ability is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Valid state driver's license with current address and an acceptable driving record; a clean record must pass an MVR check.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Ability to safely drive a manual-transmission vehicle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find ways to address problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to support customers' transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and ready to work.
• Remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
