About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is hiring a part-time valet driver for its OHSU Marquam Hill Doernbecher Children's Hospital operation in Portland, Oregon. The role pays $19.00 per hour, with eligibility to earn tips in addition to the hourly rate. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The successful candidate will be energetic, responsible, dependable, and customer-focused, helping provide a safe and seamless valet experience.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience.
Valid state driver's license with current address and an acceptable driving record; a clean driving record is necessary to pass an MVR check.
Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S., with valid documentation provided if hired.

Nice To Haves

Previous parking experience.
Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.
Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shifts and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find ways to address problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
Inspect vehicles before parking them safely and note any findings.
Explain valet rates to customers.
Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers' transportation experience.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
